Shoes
Every woman loves to buy shoes but just because a particular pair looks fantastic does not mean they are going to be the most comfortable.
When it comes to choosing your bridal shoes it is a completely different ball game. Firstly you are going to be on your feet the whole day therefore comfort is key….

  • Carry a sample of your dress fabric with you so that you can match up with the fabric of the shoe
  • As feet swell, it is best to shop for your wedding shoes at the end of the day when you feet are your biggest.
  • Simple elegant shoes suit a detailed dress and vice versa.
  • If you are going to wear tights/stockings on the day then wear similar ones when choosing your shoes.
  • Take your shoes to your final dress fitting to ensure the hem falls perfectly.
  • If you can wear your shoes around the house to break them in – no one likes a blister.
  • If the shoes have slippery soles, then get a shoe mender to fit a grip to the sole of the shoe to avoid any embarrassing falls.
With regards to your bridesmaids shoes, it may be a nice idea to have them wearing the same shoes. However if you are having small maids then pretty little ballet shoes always look great.

Veils and Tiaras
Veils tend to go in and out of fashion, I personally think they look beautiful teamed with a pretty tiara. Whether you opt to have both or just one or the other is entirely up to you. When trying on your bridal gown you can see what Veils/Tiaras would look best. With regards to the bridesmaids a tiara is normally sufficient or perhaps flowers in the hair.
