Getting in shape for the big dayTop tips for shaping upDrink plenty of water Many people do not drink as much water as they should. It is recommended that we all try to drink at least 2 pints of water a day. Water is a great way of flushing out all the toxins in your body and in turn can help you to lose weight. If you are feeling peckish, try drinking a glass of water which can sometimes take away the hunger. Eat healthily This may seem obvious but eating healthily and cutting down the amount of bad foods you have such as sweets, chocolate and crisps and replacing them with lots of fruit and vegetables are all steps in helping you to lose those extra pounds. Some people may think skipping a meal will help them lose weight but this can often result in people eating the wrong things because they are hungry. Always have breakfast (most important meal of the day), have a healthy lunch and try not to eat your dinner too late as it will take longer for your food to digest. Exercise Exercise teamed with a healthy diet is a sure winner to help you reach your goal weight. Doing exercise doesnt just mean going to the gym. Make the most of your every day activities such as taking the stairs instead of the lift (depending on which floor you work), walking to the station instead of driving, running to the bus stop, take the dog for a walk, do some housework. If you lack motivation then try doing exercise with a friend to spur each other on. Try to do some exercise at least twice a week. |
