Perfectly Groomed?
As you are marrying the man of your dreams, make sure his appearance lives up to that dream.

You should really start looking for groomswear at least five months in advance as some hire companies may need three months notice.

Make sure you discuss ideas with the groom without giving too much away. You want to ensure that you will be keeping within the same colour scheme.

Ideally you will want the men’s suits to be co-ordinated so remember to keep the groomsmen in mind all the time.

Accessories need to be sorted out in advance. Have ties, shoes, socks and shirts ready as soon as you can.

Whether the groom decides to hire a suit or get one specifically made remember to bear the following tips in mind:

  • When buttoning the jacket, ensure that you can move about in it. Raise your arms up over your head and to the front and back.
  • Shirt too tight?? Try putting your finger in between your neck and shirt. If you can’t then your shirt is too tight.
  • To avoid any unsightly rips in trousers make sure you can sit and bend in your trousers.
  • Double Breasted jackets look good on slim figures
  • Single Breasted jackets suit shorter, stockier physiques and jackets with lower set buttons will elongate a round stomach.
Shaving
No man actually likes shaving but for your man to look edible on your wedding day then bring out the Gillette!

Follow these steps for the perfect shape:
  • Firstly cleanse the face then exfoliate
  • If the hair is a bit long, then soften it up with a pre-shave beard softener.
  • A good quality shaving gel is a must to get the perfect shave. Rub the gel into a lather and spread over the chin.
  • Warm a razor with hot water and shave in the same direction that the hair grows.
  • To soothe your skin after shaving use a calming lotion.
  • Avoid dry/scaly skin by using moisturiser
Hair
You don't want your man turning up at the church looking like a scarecrow so make sure he goes to a salon a few weeks prior to the wedding to give him a stylish cut. Stick to a style that is conventional yet still stylish. Products can be used to give added texture and shape.
